Peranan Camat Dalam Meningkatkan Pelayanan Masyarakat Di Kecamatan Sosopan Kabupaten Padang Lawas

Abstract

As the head of the sub-district, the Camat is a leader for the apparatus and community in the Sub-district, who carries out his function as a leader. The leadership of the Camat greatly influences the working process of a system of components (sub-district government apparatus) in organizing the Government so that a quality of work will be achieved. This study aims to determine the role of the Camat in improving public services and to find out what inhibiting factors are experienced by the Camat in improving public services in Sosopan Sub-district, Padang Lawas Regency. This study was conducted at the Sosopan Sub-district Office, Padang Lawas Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive method. Where the informants used are key informants, namely employees at the Sosopan Sub-district Office, Padang Lawas Regency and also additional information, namely the community of Sosopan Sub-district, Padang Lawas. The instrument used as a data collection tool is an analytical interview whose research data is processed with a descriptive stage. Based on the results of interviews and observations conducted on existing informants, it can be concluded that the role of the Sub-district Head in improving public services can be said to be successful and running in accordance with applicable regulations and provisions based on the law.
