Abstract

Technology systems have become one of the applications that are often used in everyday human life. By using computers as tools that can store and manage data quickly, precisely, and accurately. Technological advances play an important role and are very much needed, especially in the field of data and information management. The problem in the Department of Industry and Trade, especially in the market sector, is the lack of automation in data processing where much data is still in the form of physical data (paper). Recording of Trader Data Information is still handwritten and reports still use Microsoft Excel and errors, lost data and human error can occur. When in the search stage, there are obstacles where each trader data must first be searched for in a physical file and it takes a very long time because there is no Market Trader Data Information System Database. Therefore, the solution that can be done to solve this problem is to create a New System Application that is databased and Web-based. The research method used uses the Research and Development (R&D) method, with system development using PHP, Laravel framework, MySQL as a database, and HTML/CSS for the user interface. The result of this research is the creation of a web-based application that allows officers to input market and trader data more quickly and efficiently, and produce reports that can be accessed in real-time. This system has been proven to reduce data duplication, accelerate information searches, and increase efficiency in report generation. It is hoped that this system can improve the quality of market trader data management at the Industry and Trade Service of North Padang Lawas Regency.
