Perancangan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Dalam Pemilihan Penerimaan Beasiswa Dengan Menggunakan Metode Profile Matching

Abstract

Students are agents of change who will spearhead changes that are expected to have a positive impact on family, society, state and religion. Among the many students who receive education, not all of them can complete their studies due to various factors, one of which is economic deprivation. The aim of this research is to help schools determine students who are entitled to receive scholarships more efficiently. The selection process for prospective scholarship recipients is based on the criteria set by the SMA N 4 Padangsidimpuan school. In this study, the criteria were parents' income, place of residence, distance from residence to school, number of siblings, report card grades, and activity. There are several steps in a decision support system, one of which is the profile matching procedure. The basic concept of the profile matching method assumes that the subject under study has an ideal predictor level that must be met, and there is no minimum level that needs to be met or exceeded.
