Peningkatan Insight Lingkungan Komunitas Perempuan Urban Melalui Budidaya Organik Sawi Pakchoy (Brassica rapa)
Abstract
This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and skills of urban women's communities in cultivating organic vegetables, particularly pakchoy (Brassica rapa), through planting in polybags. The program was conducted using a hands-on approach, employing 3 kg polybags filled with a growing medium composed of soil, cow manure, and rice husks in a 1:1:1 ratio. The results showed that after 40 days of cultivation, pakchoy grew optimally and was ready for harvest. The participating women gained a deeper understanding of the benefits of organic waste, particularly livestock manure, as a fertilizer that improves soil fertility and yields healthier, more hygienic vegetables.
