ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KONSUMSI BUAH DI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN
Abstract
Fruit consumption plays an essential role in supporting public health and food system stability. The level of fruit consumption in Indonesia, particularly in urban areas, is often influenced by various socioeconomic factors. This study aims to analyze and identify the determinant factors affecting the level of fruit consumption in Padangsidimpuan City. The analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression with the Cobb-Douglas model, which tests the influence of independent variables: the number of family members, age, education level, and income on fruit consumption. The results indicate that factors such as the number of family members, education level, and income significantly and positively affect the level of fruit consumption. This means that higher household education and income, along with a larger number of family members, lead to higher fruit consumption. Meanwhile, the age of the respondents showed no significant influence on fruit consumption. This study concludes that policy interventions aimed at increasing fruit consumption should focus on improving community purchasing power (income) and raising awareness through education.
