APLIKASI Mucuna bracteata DAN UREA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) PADA PRE NURSERY
Abstract
This study aims to determine the application of Mucuna bracteata and urea in increasing the growth of oil palm seedlings using the Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) method, namely 2 treatments with the first treatment being Mucuna bracteata greens consisting of 3 levels, namely M0 = control, M1 = 150 g / polybag, M2 = 250 g / polybag and the second treatment is urea fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely P0 = control, P1 = 0.08 g / polybag, P2 = 0.12 g / polybag, P3 = 0.16 g / polybag, repeated 3 times. This study was conducted by Partihaman Saroha, Hutaimbaru District, South Tapanuli Padangsidimpuan from February to April 2025. Based on the results of this study, it was obtained that the Mucuna bracteata treatment had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves and root length. However, it had a significant effect on stem diameter, with the best treatment being at a Mucuna bracteata dose of M2 = 250 grams/polybag. Urea fertilizer treatment had no significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, root length, or leaf number, except at 12 weeks after planting (WAP), with the best treatment being at a urea fertilizer dose of P2 = 0.12 grams/polybag. The combination of Mucuna bracteata and urea had no significant effect on all parameters of plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, and root length.
