PENGARUH KONTRIBUSI SEKTOR PERTANIAN, KEHUTANAN, DAN PERIKANAN TERHADAP PRODUK DOMESTIK REGIONAL BRUTO (PDRB) DI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN
Abstract
The agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors are the primary sectors that play a strategic role in the economy of a region, including Padangsidimpuan City. This study aims to analyze the influence of the contribution of the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Padangsidimpuan City. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a verification approach through multiple linear regression analysis. The data used is secondary data in the form of a time series from 2015 to 2024 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Padangsidimpuan City. The results showed that the contribution of the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors simultaneously had a significant effect on GRDP, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.998, meaning that 99.8% of the variation in GRDP could be explained by these three sectors. Partially, this combined sector variable also shows a positive and significant influence. The regression coefficient of 0.817 indicates that every one-unit increase in the contribution of this sector will increase GRDP by 0.817 units. Although previous studies categorized this sector as non-base in Padangsidimpuan City, these findings prove that its contribution remains vital in driving the city's economic growth. Therefore, the local government needs to prioritize this sector in development planning to optimize its potential.*
