PENGARUH KOMPOS FERTILIZER DAN NPK TERHADAP PERTUMUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN TERONG UNGU ( Solanum Melongena)
Abstract
Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena) is a widely cultivated horticultural product in Indonesia, serving as a daily nutritional necessity. Combining organic compost with chemical NPK fertilizer can enhance soil fertility and plant nutrient balance. This study examines the effects of compost and NPK fertilizer on purple eggplant growth, conducted in Partihaman Saroha village from May to July 2025.The method used was a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 treatments: compost (3 levels: K0 = control, K1 = 1 kg, K2 = 2 kg) and NPK fertilizer (3 levels: N0 = control, N1 = 5 g/polybag, N2 = 10 g/polybag), replicated 3 times. The results showed that compost treatment significantly affected plant height at 2 WAP and leaf count at 4 WAP, with the best result at K2 = 2 kg/polybag. NPK fertilizer treatment significantly affected plant height at 6 WAP, branch count at 12 WAP, fruit count at 12 WAP, and fruit weight at 12 WAP, with the best result at N2 = 10 g/polybag. There was an interaction between compost and NPK on leaf count at 4 WAP on purple eggplant growth.
