Supply certainty and agricultural policy planning require accurate information on future production trends and projections. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting corn production and project the volume of corn production in Mandailing Natal Regency for the coming years. The data used is annual time series data from 2012 to 2024 [Assumed research year from the thesis], covering production, planted area, rainfall, and year. The analysis methods used are Multiple Linear Regression to identify the dominant factors and the ARIMA Model for projection. The regression results show that planted area has a positive and highly significant influence on corn production, while rainfall and year showed no significant influence. The projection using the ARIMA [0,0,0] Model indicates a stable upward trend in corn production in Madina, with a projected increase of 5% to 10% [Assumed increase] in the next three years. It is concluded that policies to increase corn production in Madina must focus on efforts to expand and intensify the planted area.
2025-11-19T17:01:24+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Agri Nauli https://jurnalugn.id/index.php/jag/article/view/1693 ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KONSUMSI BUAH DI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN 2025-11-19T17:02:56+00:00 Laila Syafitri Lubis laila@gmail.com
Fruit consumption plays an essential role in supporting public health and food system stability. The level of fruit consumption in Indonesia, particularly in urban areas, is often influenced by various socioeconomic factors. This study aims to analyze and identify the determinant factors affecting the level of fruit consumption in Padangsidimpuan City. The analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression with the Cobb-Douglas model, which tests the influence of independent variables: the number of family members, age, education level, and income on fruit consumption. The results indicate that factors such as the number of family members, education level, and income significantly and positively affect the level of fruit consumption. This means that higher household education and income, along with a larger number of family members, lead to higher fruit consumption. Meanwhile, the age of the respondents showed no significant influence on fruit consumption. This study concludes that policy interventions aimed at increasing fruit consumption should focus on improving community purchasing power (income) and raising awareness through education.
2025-11-19T17:02:56+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Agri Nauli https://jurnalugn.id/index.php/jag/article/view/1695 ANALISIS PERAN PENYULUHAN PERTANIAN DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN KELOMPOK TANI DI DESA HILIMBAWO KECAMATAN MANDREHE UTARA 2025-11-19T17:04:22+00:00 Sonitehe Lahagu lahagu@gmail.com
Agricultural extension holds a central role in the process of innovation transfer and increasing farmer capacity, ultimately aiming to empower farmer groups (Poktan). This study aims to analyze and describe the role of agricultural extension in empowering farmer groups in Hilimbawo Village, North Mandrehe District. The role of extension is measured through four main dimensions: Role as Innovator, Facilitator, Motivator, and Organizer. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach, utilizing questionnaires administered to farmer group members. The analysis results indicate that overall, the role of agricultural extension in farmer group empowerment is in the "Moderately Effective" category. The most prominent role of the extension worker is as a Motivator, where the extension worker successfully inspires enthusiasm and confidence among farmers. Meanwhile, the roles as Organizer and Facilitator need improvement, particularly in helping farmers access resources and solve problems. This study concludes that although there has been a contribution, the effectiveness of extension must be strengthened through more structured training for extension workers and increased logistical support to ensure farmers are optimally empowered.
2025-11-19T17:04:22+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Agri Nauli https://jurnalugn.id/index.php/jag/article/view/1696 ANALISIS PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN TERHADAP KEPUASAN PETANI PADA KEGIATAN OPTIMALISASI LAHAN RAWA MEWUJUDKAN SWASEMBADA PANGAN DI KELURAHAN SORKAM, TAPANULI UTARA 2025-11-19T17:06:32+00:00 Helen Friska Simanjuntak helen56@gmail.com
Agricultural extension plays a crucial role in supporting the success of agricultural programs, including swamp land optimization activities for food self-sufficiency. The success of extension is measured, in part, by the level of farmer satisfaction as service users. This study aims to analyze and measure the extent to which the role of agricultural extension workers in swamp land optimization activities influences farmer satisfaction in Sorkam Village, North Tapanuli. The role of the extension worker is measured through four dimensions: Educator, Organizer, Motivator, and Facilitator. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach, utilizing Multiple Linear Regression analysis to test the influence of the extension worker's role on farmer satisfaction. The results show that the roles of extension workers simultaneously influence farmer satisfaction significantly. Partially, the roles as Motivator and Facilitator have a positive and significant influence on farmer satisfaction. Meanwhile, the roles of Educator and Organizer show a positive but not significant influence. The highest farmer satisfaction is demonstrated by the extension worker's ability to provide solutions and encouragement. It is concluded that in the context of swamp land optimization, strengthening the extension worker's role as a resource facilitator and motivator of farmer morale is the main key to increasing satisfaction and program success.
2025-11-19T17:06:32+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Agri Nauli https://jurnalugn.id/index.php/jag/article/view/1697 Uji Adaptasi Beberapa Varietas Tanaman Sorgum (Shorgum bicolor L.) Sorghum has great potential to be developed as a food ingredient to replace rice. Sorghum has advantages related to low water requirements and tolerance to drought-prone land. This research aims to determine the adaptability of several sorghum varieties (Sorghum bicolor L.) in Padang Lawas. The research was conducted from February to May 2025. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four varieties, namely P1 (Numbu), P2 (Kawali), P3 (Suri 3), and P4 (Suri 4). The parameters observed were plant height, flowering time, panicle length, stem diameter, grain weight per sample, grain weight per plot, and root length. Observations were carried out periodically during the vegetative and generative phases. The results showed that the Suri 4 variety consistently showed the best plant performance in almost all observed parameters. At 8 weeks after planting, Suri 4 reached the highest plant height (231.76 cm), significantly different from the other varieties. Suri 4 also had the earliest flowering time (60 days after planting), the longest panicle (29.66 cm), the largest stem diameter (2.32 cm), the highest grain weight per sample and per plot (275.61 g and 3611.03 g), as well as the longest root length (67.01 cm). Conversely, the Numbu variety showed the lowest plant growth in most parameters, including plant height, panicle length, stem diameter, grain weight, and root length. The superiority of the Suri 4 variety is most likely influenced by genetic factors that support plant growth, photosynthesis efficiency, and good environmental adaptation. Therefore, the Suri 4 variety can be recommended as the best variety for sorghum cultivation development, especially in Padang Lawas Regency.
2025-12-06T03:39:51+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Agri Nauli https://jurnalugn.id/index.php/jag/article/view/1719 Pengaruh Perbedaan Jenis Kemasan Terhadap Daya Simpan Buah Salak Sidimpuan (Salacca Sumatrana Becc) 2026-01-25T13:29:50+00:00 Siti Raya Hasibuan Sitiraya6292@gmail.com Rasmita Adelina Sitiraya6292@gmail.com Irwan Zulfikri Sitiraya6292@gmail.com
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different types of packaging on the shelf life of salak sidimpuan fruit (Salacca sumatrana Becc).
